Dynamic Landscapes:
Celebrating Vermont’s Educational Technology

Champlain College will host a conference on Friday, May 12, 2000 that brings together middle school and high school students and educators from around the state to showcase innovative uses of educational technology.

Presented by Champlain College, VITA-Learn, and The Web Project and supported by Bell Atlantic and Apple Computer, Inc., the Dynamic Landscapes: Celebrating Vermont’s Educational Technology event features computerized artwork, animation, movies, music and 3-D imaging by students from all corners of Vermont. The public is invited to a free viewing of the interactive student displays and installations from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Visitors should check in at the Hauke Family Campus Center on Maple Street on the Champlain College campus to obtain a viewing map.

Anyone who wishes to register for the full-day conference can visit www.vita-learn.org/landscapes/ or call (802) 828-0074. More than 30 presentations, workshops and demonstrations will cover topics like distance learning, Internet content and safety, new media productions, and new methods of learning and documenting. The conference will showcase student work that uses sophisticated technology in the arts and humanities. The event will also be a professional development opportunity for Vermont educators.
