Click here if you would like would like to see if your browser is going to prevent you from using my links.

When you click on a link in my directories, the web site you are requesting will be opened in a separate window or tab. This worked great until version six. Unfortunately, many web sites will open windows with advertisements and junk that you don't want. So Internet Explorer is asking you if you really requested that information or web site -- or is this web site just trying to force feed it to you? This web site does NOT open up pop-ups with ads or porn, here. I open up the web sites you request in a separate window or tab as a convenience.

For best results, I recommend clicking on the
"Pop-up blocked. To see this pop-up or additional options click here..."
and then select the "Always Allow Pop-ups from this site..."

If you do this I will be able to open the web pages as you request them.

If a link is no longer clickable, it is probably a temporary link that has expired or whose content has changed. Red Links have been found to be unavailable. The web site might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. To be a featured web site, you must be a most 10 requested web site of your category -- or, be cross-linked to this web site. Both incoming and outgoing traffic is measured on all web sites. Web sites are listed in the following order, 1. web sites added within the last 7 days in alphabetical order, 2. The top-ten (featured or popular) web sites in alphabetical order, and 3. remaining web site in alphabetical order.

Annie Bourdon is starting up Green Mountain CarShare. Annie Bourdon is not a used-car salesperson, but she’ll talk fixed automotive costs and vehicle depreciation till she’s blue in the face. Why? The University of Vermont grad student is the driving force behind Green Mountain CarShare (GMCS), the state’s first “neighborhood-based” car “service.” With a little luck — and ,000 in donations — GMCS will hit the streets of Greater Burlington in June. Marketed as a new “relationship” to cars, GMCS would allow drivers to cruise in pseudo-rental cars on a pay-as-you-go basis. The system is designed as an “affordable” and “environmentally responsible” driving alternative for non-commuting individuals and families “on the fence” of vehicle ownership — think vegetarian potluck meets Hertz. Bourdon, a former deputy director of a pioneer car-share program in the San Francisco Bay area, says GMCS’ initial fleet will consist of rentable, fuel-efficient, gasoline-powered cars, later expanding to include hybrids and pickup trucks. new Click here to read more.

RVing is more than just a pastime at Pete's RV, it's a business that rang up more than million in sales last year (2000). ... Pete's RV has occupied the same lot for 49 years. Like much of the property along Williston Road, it's located on former farmland. In 1952, the lot was purchased by Peter and Trudy DiSpirito and Pete's Trailer Mart was born. The DiSpiritos owned the business for 21 years. The Shepards didn't want the name changed because of the recognition it had developed in the RV community. "Pete was always known for his welding," Terry says. Today, the company sells RVs, parts and accessories, and rents and services used RVs. Twelve years ago, the Shepards and McGinnis added an indoor showroom, a move that has given them an edge over the competition. "From December to February, we sold 100 tent trailers," McGinnis says. ... Like car dealers, McGinnis and the Shepards have their choice of campers when heading out on a trip. Trucks took top spots in Vermont, again in 2001. The truck is king in Vermont. Four of the top five new vehicles registered in the state in 2001 were trucks. At the top of that list, for the second year in a row, Ford. A total of 3,019 new Ford trucks were registered in Vermont in 2001, according to Department of Motor Vehicles data. Chevy trucks came in second, also two years in a row, with 2,644 registered last year. The state doesn't distinguished among different truck models within a brand, lumping everything from compact pickups to full-size trucks into one category. The state also puts some other models, such as the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee, into a single category. Rounding out the top five vehicles in 2001 were Dodge trucks with 1,950 registered, Subaru Legacy with 1,390 registered, and Toyota trucks with 1,113 registered. Vermont has a higher concentration of Subarus....
